Registration Fee, Due today CHF 109 Age Groups: 4-7 years: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM 8-12 years: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Course Overview: Are your kids ready to embark on a delicious culinary journey? Our Wednesday Cooking School is the perfect opportunity for young aspiring chefs to develop essential cooking skills, explore a world of flavours, and gain the confidence to whip up delightful dishes in the kitchen. What's included: all the material, ingredients, tools, and of course they take home everything they make after each lesson to share and enjoy with the whole family. During the year we’ll head to local farms and learn where our food comes from. The year ends with a display of their culinary mastery. Over 28 fun-filled weeks, children will progress from kitchen novices to accomplished young chefs. Week 1-4: Kitchen Explorers Introduction to kitchen safety and hygiene Exploring basic kitchen tools and equipment Basic Knife skills Whipping up an array of sharable snacks using their newly acquired skills Week 5-8: Magic with Measuring Learning measurement units Mixing and measuring ingredients Baking up a variety of financiers, cakes and cookies Exploring the world of dough and batter Week 9-12: Global Flavours with seasonal Fruits and Veggies Identifying, washing, and peeling fruits and vegetables Preparing seasonal fruit and veggie while exploring global flavours Exploring different cooking methods (steaming, roasting, sautéing) Week 13-16: Perfecting Pasta and Rice Cooking pasta al dente Creating homemade pasta sauces Rice dishes from around the world Introduction to food presentation Week 17-20: Marvelous Main Courses Exploring proteins (chicken, fish, and tofu) Marinating and seasoning Cooking main course dishes from around the world Plating like a pro Week 21-24: Baking Bonanza Art of bread-making Crafting delectable pastries Creating stunning cakes and cupcakes Basic cake decorating techniques Week 25-28: Culinary Creativity Designing your own recipes Cooking for special occasions Graduation showcase Celebratory feast with family
